So often I hear folks say that they are going to reward themselves with something nice once they have arrived at their weight loss goal. Yet it is not very often that I hear of people giving themselves rewards for staying on the right track. However, if you ask me, it is much more important to give yourself mini rewards along the way instead of just looking forward to that one big reward at the end of the weight loss journey.Depending on how much weight you have to lose, it can take many months or even years to get to your weight loss goal. Whenever you are fighting such a long battle, there are sure to be moments in which you just feel like giving up. Therefore, you need all of the motivation that you can get along the way.
Instead of just focusing on the ideal weight that you have set for yourself, you should try to focus on mini goals. For instance, concentrate on losing another five pounds or dropping a dress size. Then celebrate once you have reached your set milestone.
How should you celebrate your milestones in weight loss? That is entirely up to what you happen to fancy, and what your budget allows you to get yourself as a reward. Personally, I would stay away from rewards that involve food. That is because it is not a very good idea to think of food as a reward instead of an energy source. So try something like a massage or a new outfit instead.
